What lands on the NFL board
A pick is a position, not a team name. Each ticket carries the market and venue, the entry price in cents, the model's fair value for the same outcome, the edge between them, the invalidation level, the profit target, and the size against a $5,000 bankroll.
The NFL desk runs its own model — an FPI and market-line confluence read, separate from the college engine — but the discipline is identical: at least eight cents of edge, entry between 20c and 80c, and a hard cap of six live tickets ranked by edge.
Why some weeks are quiet
The NFL is the most efficiently priced sport on the board. Sixteen games a week and a world of sharp money means most lines are close to correct. The edge shows up in late inactives, weather on totals, and short-week travel spots the market prices lazily — and in a week where none of that appears, the right number of picks is zero.
